Doulas love Cradle & Coos - here's why

Michaela Parnell

Birth Doula (San Francisco)

“Cradle & Coos has been a valuable platform for me as a doula to connect with families seeking support that empowers them on their journey to parenthood. The Cradle & Coos process is well-organized. I appreciate how easy it is to create and maintain a profile that highlights my skills, certifications, and experience, and the platform allows me to connect with families in a way that feels personal. Overall, I highly recommend Cradle & Coos to both fellow doulas and expectant families. It’s a powerful tool that helps birth workers reach more people while ensuring that families receive the compassionate care they deserve.”

Requirements

To participate in the Cradle & Coos network, all doulas are required to possess the following:

  • Certification of completion of doula training
  • Individual malpractice liability insurance
  • Infant CPR aid certification
  • Up to date vaccination record
  • Residence in the United States
  • Background check (conducted by a third party during onboarding)
  • Minimum of two referral contacts from previous families or employers
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to take online meetings
Note: Certification completion is not required; however, you will only be matched with opportunities where parents are open to working with volunteer or trainee doulas.
